On August 25-26, 2021, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. ET, concentrating solar-thermal power (CSP) research and development professionals joined the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Solar Energy Technologies Office (SETO) to learn about the outcomes of the first two years of SETO’s Generation 3 (Gen3) CSP systems funding program. DOE and CSP researchers gave an overview of the future course for Gen3 technologies and the key research areas for the coming years.
The summit featured presentations, panels, and discussions. Presentation slides, executive summaries of the Phase I and Phase II Gen3 Topic 1 projects, and one page summaries of all Gen3 projects are included below. Feel free to email solar@ee.doe.gov with any questions.
Gen3 Topic 1: Phase I and II Executive Summaries
Gen3 Project Summaries
Below, you can find one page summaries of the many projects involved in the Gen3 CSP effort, including projects from Gen3 CSP funding program and lab call as well as the SETO Fiscal Year 2018, Fiscal Year 2019, Fiscal Year 2020, CSP Lab Call, and CSP-APOLLO funding programs. These are labeled by last name of the primary investigator, project number, and project title.
