The proposed project includes the construction of five 138 kilovolt (KV) transmission lines totaling 3.5 miles of new 100-foot right-of-way (ROW) and the rebuilding of approximately 0.4-mile of existing 100-foot 138 kV transmission line ROW.
The Project will rebuild approximately 24.7 miles of existing linear transmission line infrastructure generally within its existing 100-foot-wide right-of-way (ROW) between the existing Duncan Substation and Cox City Road, in Grady and Stephens counties, Oklahoma.
The Proposed Action includes a proposed powerline extension that would be partially located on U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration property and partially located on Los Alamos County (LAC) property to provide reliable and redundant power.
