September 18, 2013High Energy Density Lithium (Li)-ion Cells for Electric Vehicles (EV) Based on Novel, High Voltage Cathode Material Systems
CX(s) Applied: B3.6
Date: 09/18/2013
Location(s): California
Offices(s): National Energy Technology Laboratory
The objective of this project is to develop a plug-in hybrid with 40-mile electric range (PHEV40) cell with an energy density of 200 Watt-hours/kilogram (Wh/kg) and an electric vehicle (EV) light duty cell with an energy density 400 Wh/kg that can meet the cycle life goals for those applications.
