The Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Energy Office’s (HGEO’s) Office of Operations drives execution of the HGEO mission in support of Administration priorities and goals through innovative, efficient, and cost-effective programs, processes, and systems.
The Office of Operations supports HGEO’s goal to implement leading-edge, efficient, and fiscally responsible solutions through the following objectives:
- Unleash the transformative power of technology, particularly AI, to revolutionize processes and capabilities, resulting in innovative, cost-effective operations.
- Cultivate opportunities to foster a high-performing HGEO workforce and grow the nation’s energy workforce.
- Bolster strategic alliances, stakeholder engagement, collaboration and communication with key partners, and developing solutions to complex challenges.
- Strategically align, safeguard, and optimize resources in support of the HGEO mission.
The Office of Operations includes five sub-program offices, 1) the Office of Budget and Financial Management, 2) the Office of Information Technology, 3) the Office of Strategic Communications and Engagement, 4) the Office of Workforce Management and Administration, and 5) the Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security.
