On June 18, 2026, the Department of Energy (DOE) issued emergency DOE Order No. 202-26-30, pursuant to section 202(c) of the Federal Power Act, to CenterPoint Energy and the Midcontinent Independent System Operator, Inc. (MISO). The order directs CenterPoint Energy and MISO to take all measures necessary to ensure that Unit 2 at the F.B. Culley Generating Station in Warrick County, Indiana is available to operate and to employ economic dispatch to minimize costs for the American people. This order is in effect beginning on June 22, 2026, through September 19, 2026.
