In the interest of maximizing public participation, GSA and NNSA are extending the public comment period until Wednesday, January 30, 2008. The United States General Services Administration (GSA) and the United States Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) will prepare an Environmental Assessment (EA), DOE/EA-1592, to relocate certain non-nuclear component production and procurement activities currently conducted at NNSA’s Kansas City Plant (KCP) to a smaller new facility.
Based on an Environmental Assessment (EA), DOE/ EA–1463, DOE has determined that the adoption of the new energy efficiency standards ‘‘Energy Efficiency Standard for New Federal Commercial and High-Rise Multi-Family Residential Buildings’’ (10 CFR Part 433) and ‘‘Energy Efficiency Standard for New Federal Low-Rise Residential Buildings’’ (10 CFR Part 435) would not be a major Federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment within the meaning of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969. Therefore, an environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required, and the Department is issuing this finding of no significant impact (FONSI)

This Mitigation Action Plan (MAP) is part of the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Palisades-Goshen Transmission Line Reconstruction Project. The project involves reconstruction of the existing Palisades-Goshen 115-kV transmission line, which extends from Palisades Dam in eastern Idaho approximately 52 miles west to the Goshen Substation south of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
The Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) have been prepared for the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Final Rule titled, "Energy Conservation Program for Consumer Products: Energy Conservation Standards for Residential Furnaces and Boilers," and will be placed in the rule docket concurrent to the publication of the Final Rule in the Federal Register.
