DOE/EA-2287: Big Eddy-Ostrander Conductor Replacement Project; Multiple Locations, Oregon

Summary

Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is preparing an environmental assessment (EA) (DOE/EA-2287) for the Big Eddy-Ostrander Conductor Replacement Project. BPA is proposing the Big Eddy-Ostrander Conductor Replacement Project to replace the conductor, replace or install other line components, install fall protection hardware on transmission structures, correct impairments (areas where the distance between the ground and the conductor do not meet standard guidelines), and improve portions of the access roads used to access transmission line structures. The Big Eddy-Ostrander No. 1 transmission line runs generally east to west from the Big Eddy Substation in The Dalles, Oregon, to the Ostrander Substation, near Eagle Creek, Oregon.
