Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. This program is designed to incentivize future commercial projects to be built to the rating standard of the USGBC (United States Green Building Council) LEED (Leadership, Energy, and Environmental Design) program. A rating checklist that conducts a third party verification on environmentally sustainable construction of sustainable elements. Propose incentives includes signage increase, recognition and city advertisement, expedited review time, fee reimbursement, and density bonus.
