The $7.3 million ESPC helped NARA reduce its portfolio's energy consumption and saves over $600,000 per year in energy costs.

The National Archives (Archives II) building in College Park, MD, is the largest and most energy-intensive building in the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) inventory. To offset the building's energy consumption, the agency installed over 500 kW of rooftop PV and a 225-kW co-generation system. The success at Archives II has propelled NARA to promote sustainability in all of its new and existing buildings. NARA achieved a 30.2% reduction in energy usage in FY 2014 compared to its FY 2003 baseline.
