November 22, 2021, FEMP selected 17 federal agency projects to receive a combined total of $13 million in AFFECT funding. The grants will lead to a total of over $737 million in funds for these projects when leveraged with energy performance contracts.

Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) prepared a draft environmental assessment (EA) to assess the potential environmental impacts of the South of Tri-Cities Reinforcement Project (DOE/EA-2291). The proposed project would include construction of a new 500/115-kilovolt (kV) substation and 115-kV transmission line in Benton County, Washington. The public comment period ends June 21, 2025.
