A competition engaging students from middle school to graduate school led by the Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO). Students pursue innovative ideas for the development, design, and invention of technologies within the commercial algae value chain.

The EM Technology Operations Office is responsible for the overall integration and coordination of the technology portfolio across the US Department of Energy's Office of Environmental Management complex.

This Office of Geothermal initiative supports projects to test and advance the efficacy and scalability of enhanced geothermal systems (EGS) in a variety of geographic locations, geologic formations, and subsurface conditions.

The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Alternative Fuel and Feedstocks Office (AFFO), enables research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) to accelerate technology commercialization for the production, storage, delivery and use of alternative fuels, fertilizers, chemicals, and feedstocks to enhance the security and reliability of energy networks and lower energy costs for Americans.

This effort helps expand the use of geothermal power by working with participating states to set statewide geothermal goals, strengthen resource mapping, and advance policies that reduce project costs and address regulatory barriers.

The U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuels and Feedstocks Office (AFFO) will hold its 2027 Peer Review Meeting during the week of April 19, 2027, in Arlington, Virginia.
