On June 12, 2026, the Department of Energy (DOE) issued emergency DOE Order No. 202-26-28, pursuant to section 202(c) of the Federal Power Act, to TransAlta Centralia Generation LLC (TransAlta). The order directs TransAlta to ensure Unit 2 of the Centralia Generating Station in Centralia, Washington remains available to operate. This order is in effect beginning on June 15, 2026, through September 12, 2026.
