As members of the Pennsylvania State University Wind Energy Club, we are excited to compete in the U.S. Department of Energy's 2024 Collegiate Wind Competition (CWC).
Our focus lies in applying classroom knowledge to address engineering challenges, design ecologically sound offshore wind energy projects, and promote wind energy awareness across a variety of age groups, which aligns with our vision of a renewable energy future. Our university has competed in every CWC since the competition's inception in 2014, earning first place overall in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2021.
We attribute our university's success to strong team bonds within our recognized student organization structure. Recruiting from a wide range of academic backgrounds is one of our key priorities, which we accomplish through campus events and partnerships with engineering programs. We also leverage our alumni networks and create industry ties by collaborating with several different organizations throughout the year.
