Summary
Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), the Bureau of Reclamation, and the US Army Corps of Engineers (co-lead agencies) entered into an agreement with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, the Coeur d'Alene Tribe, and the Spokane Tribe of Indians to fund implementation of the Phase 2 Implementation Plan (P2IP) projects for reintroducing specific non-Federally protected salmonid stocks above Chief Joseph and Grand Coulee dams in the Upper Columbia River Basin. The co-lead agencies anticipate preparing a Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) to evaluate the projects and activities implementing the P2IP.
Public Comment Opportunities
The co-lead agencies will open a scoping comment period on February 9, 2024, and will hold public meetings in Grand Coulee, WA, on February 27, and in Spokane, WA, on February 28, 2024. This comment period will close on March 11, 2024. The deadline to submit comments to the Bureau of Reclamation is March 11, 2024.
