Western proposes to approve an Interconnection Agreement for the Colorado Highlands Wind Project. The FONSI describes the information Western used to determine that Western's proposal to allow interconnection of the Project will not have a significant impact on the human environment.
The Department of Energy (DOE) has prepared an environmental assessment (EA) for the proposed natural fluctuation of water level in Par Pond, and reduced water flow in Steel Creek below L Lake at the Savannah River Site near Aiken, South Carolina. Based on analyses in the EA, DOE determined that the proposed action was not a major Federal action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment within the meaning of the National Environmental Policy Act.
This notice provides Western Area Power Administration's National Environmental Poilcy Act determination regarding Western's proposal to provide an electric transmission line and interconnection to Contra Costa Water District's Alternative Intake Project (AIP) located in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, within San Joaquin and Contra Costa Counties, California. Under the Proposed Action, Western a would provide electric service to the AIP power substation for operating AIP project facilities, including the new pump station on Victoria Canal, while minimizing costs and environmental effects.
Colorado Highlands Wind LLC applied to Western Area Power Administration to interconnect a 90-megawatt wind power facility with Western's existing Sterling-Frenchman Creek 115-kV transmission line.
The Department of Energy is proposing to provide funding to the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Research Foundation to construct and operate the Solar Technology Center (STC) in collaboration with the UNLV Center for Energy Research (CER). The STC, hereinafter referred to as the Proposed Action, would operate for research and development, educational training, and as a center for renewable energy and conservation information.
