The Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is proposing to replace two guy anchors at structure 2/3 along the Chemawa-Salem No. 1 & 2 line which have the potential to fail. Structure 2/3 is a dead-end tubular pole transmission tower consisting of two 105-foot engineered-steel poles braced with four guy assemblies. The existing guy anchorage that would be replaced consists of two anchors installed approximately 17 feet below the ground surface.
