Douglas MacIntyre

Mr. Douglas MacIntyre is the Deputy Director for the Office of Petroleum Reserves in the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response. He is responsible for providing executive leadership and program direction in the management and operation of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve, Northeast Home Heating Oil Reserve, and Naval Petroleum and Oil Shale Reserve.

Prior to joining the Department in 2016, Mr. MacIntyre served in many capacities at the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), where he was responsible for EIA’s Short-Term Energy Outlook, the country analysis briefs, EIA’s oil disruption analysis, and EIA’s oil data collection, as well as many other activities.

Mr. MacIntyre earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Science Statistics from the University of Maryland at College Park and a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (now called the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy).
