The Office of High Energy Physics (HEP) invites you to attend this informational webinar on the REACHING A NEW ENERGY SCIENCES WORKFORCE FOR HIGH ENERGY PHYSICS (RENEW-HEP) Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). The goal of this initiative is to help broaden and diversify the high energy physics community. The planned funding will support training and research experiences in particle physics for members of underserved communities, with the goals of supporting investigators and building research infrastructure at institutions which have not traditionally been part of the particle physics portfolio and encouraging underrepresented populations to pursue STEM careers. The funding opportunity is open to researchers working in areas within the current HEP portfolio. Applications are open to DOE national laboratories, universities, and nonprofit organizations, applying singly or in multi-institutional collaborations. Total planned funding is $8 million in Fiscal Year 2023 dollars, contingent upon congressional appropriations. The FOA can be found on HEP’s funding opportunities page.
