Laura made landfall around 2:00 AM EDT on August 27, near Cameron, Louisiana as a Category 4 hurricane. Sally made landfall around 5:45 AM EDT on September 16, near Gulf Shores, Alabama as a category 2 hurricane. Tropical Storm Beta made landfall around 11:00 PM EDT on September 21 near the Matagorda Peninsula in Texas.
