Shanta Chirino serves as the Budget Officer for OP. She serves as the link between the OP Executive Director/Principal Deputy Director and staff, and program offices to implement Administration and Departmental priorities. She manages and coordinates the preparation and execution of OP’s financial program to meet the needs of the organization in achieving overall DOE policy development objectives.
Ms. Chirino joined DOE in 2023. Prior to this position, she supported the Department of Defense for ten years before taking on a leadership role at Department of Interior. She holds a Masters in Accounting from American Public University and a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Virginia State University.
