Venture Global CP2 LNG, LLC (CP2 LNG) | Docket No. 26-78-LNG

The Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Energy Office gives notice of receipt of an Application filed July 7, 2026, by Venture Global CP2 LNG, LLC ( CP2 LNG), seeking long-term multi-contract authorization to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas (LNG) up to the equivalent of 620.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas per year to Free Trade Agreement (FTA) countries, and to Non-Free Trade Agreement (non-FTA) countries.  CP2 LNG proposes to export LNG from its proposed CP2 LNG Expansion Project, to be located at and interconnected with the currently authorized CP2 LNG Terminal, located on the east side of the Calcasieu Ship Channel, in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, to any country that has, or in the future will have, the capacity to import LNG via ocean-going carrier, with which the United States has, or in the future enters into, an FTA requiring national treatment for trade in natural gas, and/or non-FTA countries, with which trade is not prohibited by U.S. law or policies.  Authorization is requested for a 20-year term, commencing on the date of first commercial export, for both the FTA and non-FTA authorizations.  CP2 LNG requests this authorization on its behalf and as agent for other parties who hold title to the LNG at the time of export.  A Federal Register Notice will be issued for the non-FTA portion of this application.
