Contacting and Partnering with NNSA

If you are interested in partnering with DNN to make your nuclear reactor or fuel cycle facility design more secure, easier to safeguard, and with an increased level of proliferation resistance, e-mail NuclearNexus@nnsa.doe.gov.  The team will schedule an in-person or virtual meeting to discuss next steps.

In addition to providing information and guidance, NNSA can partner with U.S. civil nuclear companies through the following mechanisms:

  • Nondisclosure Agreements (NDAs) to have detailed discussions of technologies that can include proprietary information
  • Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), which enable industry to work hand-in-hand with lab scientist to develop new technologies or further develop them
  • Special Partnership Projects (SPPs) to fund directed work by lab scientists and use of lab equipment to test industry technology, provide a proof of concept for industry technology, or for partner-specific research and development (R&D) activities
  • User Facility Agreements (UFAs) for industry partners to do their own experiments using unique and state of the art facilities not commonly available in the commercial world

Separately, for information or assistance on nuclear export controls under 10 CFR Part 810, contact Part810@nnsa.doe.gov.
