Categorical Exclusion Determinations: Multiple Locations

This Fourth Amended Determination follows the approval of additional funding, extended period of performance, a new project team member, and additional project milestones to support the project team's small-scale research and development activities to further advance a chip-level direct two-phase impingement jet cooling solution to enhance overall thermal performance while reducing pumping power under the Cooling Operations Optimized for Leaps in Energy, Reliability, and Carbon Hyperefficiency for Information Processing Systems Program (COOLERCHIPS) Program.
The Cooling Operations Optimized for Leaps in Energy, Reliability, and Carbon Hyperefficiency for Information Processing Systems 1.5 (COOLERCHIPS 1.5) Program consists of projects selected from the first phase of the COOLERCHIPS program for additional funding, extended period of performance, and new project milestones to continue development of water-free, advanced cooling systems for high-power data centers demanded by artificial intelligence (AI).
The Catalytic Application Testing for Accelerated Learning Chemistries via High-throughput Experimentation and Modeling Efficiently (CATALCHEM-E) program supports the small-scale research and development of hetergeneous catalysts, solid materials that reduce the inherent energy needed to drive industrial-scale chemical reactions responsible for making everyday products and commodities.
This Amended Determination follows the approval of additional funding, extended period of performance, new teaming partners, and new project milestones to support the project team's small-scale research and development activities of new biological photosynthetic systems that employ sunlight from previously under-utilized or inaccessible regions of the solar spectrum, such as near-infrared light (NIR), to produce chemical biofuel.
This Third Amended Determination follows the approval of additional funding, extended period of performance, change of teaming partners, and new project milestones to support the project team's small-scale research and development activities of creating a modular reactor design to convert dilute carbon dioxide into a concentrated ethanol product, in progress under the Optimized Flexible Fuels using Grid-free Reactors with Intermittent Delivery (OFF GRID, formerly GREENWELLS) Program.
