The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) (Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Methow Valley Ranger District) is preparing an EA that assesses the potential environmental impacts of a proposal to enhance and improve the diversity of aquatic habitat in River Mile 15.5-20 of the Chewuch River. Potential actions include introducing large wood, increasing pool habitat, and restoring historical off-channel habitat. DOE's Bonneville Power Administration, a cooperating agency, is considering whether to fund construction as part of the Mid-Columbia Restoration Program.
