The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to The City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida under the DOE's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program. Under Activity #5, Capital Improvement Projects, the City would increase the scope of work to include wind powered electric vehicle charging stations, solar powered parking meters and LED light fixtures.
