The Sinton Independent School District (ISO), San Patricio County, Texas proposes to install a 100 kilowatt wind turbine (Northern Power 100) on the campus of their high school to reduce operations costs, increase energy efficiency, reduce reliance on imported energy, improve reliability, and reduce environmental impacts of energy production. The turbine would be installed on a 121-foot tall tubular steel tower, have a rotor diameter of 69 feet, and a total height of about 156 feet.
