Illinois State University proposes to use federal funding to continue the efforts of the existing award and add 2 additional tasks. The tasks will consists of a corn/soybean assessment, a switchgrass assessment, pretreatment testing for low cost methods to enhance digestibility and methane production of switchgrass in digesters, and the evaluation of fertility treatments in high-fertility soil plots.
