Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant for: The AK-Chin Indian Community is proposing to conduct energy audits for its residential units. There are 291 homes and 20 apartments in the Community. In addition, if funding is available after the residential audits are completed, the AK-Chin Indian Community would like to conduct audits for two Community commercial buildings that are occupied by tribal government departments. The Community would hire a local contractor to conduct comprehensive energy inspections and potentially provide professional advice and help with necessary home improvements and building improvements for energy efficiency that might be implemented by the Tribe in the future following its assessment of the energy audit results.
