In January, the Office of Indian Energy offered a series of regional workshops designed to provide Alaska Native leaders and their staffs with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the complexities of developing energy projects, including:

  • How renewable energy and energy efficiency projects can help address community energy challenges and advance clean energy goals
  • Effective strategies and tactics for identifying potential funding and financing opportunities, overcoming challenges, and gaining community buy-in
  • Experience-based insights and lessons learned from other Native villages.
