
A partnership between the Savannah River Site (SRS) and a local community reuse organization has led to cost savings of nearly $12 million for taxpayers since 2013.

EM has reduced its operational footprint at the F Area Complex by moving from around-the-clock operations to dayshifts, a measure of progress toward completing cleanup and closure of that portion of the Savannah River Site (SRS).

Savannah River Remediation awarded more than $147 million in small business contracts in fiscal 2021, accounting for nearly 84% of all its subcontracts that year — the most since the liquid waste contractor began its contract at the Savannah River Site.
