Mojave National Preserve is an early pioneer of the NPS Go Green campaign. Beyond the Hole-in-the-Wall Visitor Center area, a large bank of solar panels is tucked behind rocks, preserving visual quality. The PV panels provide power to the visitor center and have mostly eliminated the need for a noisy diesel generator.
