The Water Power Technologies Office announced $1 million to support the development of a technology that could support water quality requirements downstream from dams and provide a barrier to the movement of invasive fish species.

The Testing Expertise and Access for Marine Energy Research program is helping the University of Hawaii test a wave-powered ocean observation platform and breakwater.
