May 27, 2025Demand for jet fuel is expected to balloon over the next three decades, which adds to the aviation industry’s challenge of meeting goals for cutting aviation greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in half by 2050.1 Sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs) made from renewable biomass and waste resources have the potential to deliver the performance of petroleum[1]based jet fuel but with a fraction of its carbon footprint, giving airlines solid footing for reducing GHG emissions from flight.
