There are currently no major storms active. During a hurricane, daily situational reports describing response efforts and impacts to energy delivery will appear at the top of this page.

Hurricane season officially runs June 1 through November 30, however preparation, response, and recovery is a year-round effort.

As the office responsible for executing the Department of Energy's roles as the federal government's Energy Sector Specific Agency and as the Emergency Support Function 12 under the National Response Framework, the Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response (CESER) provides planning and emergency response support to state, locality, and energy sector partners ahead of and during natural disasters. It does so in close communication with these partners and with Federal partners, including the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Departments of Homeland Security, Transportation, Defense, and Interior.
