Ashley Nunes is Director, Office of Policy at the U.S. Department of Energy. He leads a team that advises the Office of the Secretary and the agency at large on issues related to energy production, job creation, infrastructure investment, and state, local, and tribal policy. In preceding roles, Dr. Nunes executed policy analysis for the Department of Defense, Department of State, and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. He has held academic appointments at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he taught courses on energy economics and examined how innovation affects markets. Dr. Nunes received his doctoral degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
