On April 22, 2013, the GTT hosted a workshop to discuss high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission technologies and their application in the North American electric grid. Through a series of presentations and group discussions, the workshop also considered technical and institutional challenges to greater deployment. The workshop materials are available below.
