The Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management, with DOE’s Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) as a cooperating agency, prepared this EIS to evaluate the environmental impacts of a proposal to construct and operate 156 wind turbine generators and related facilities on public lands surrounding the town of Searchlight, Nevada. The proposal includes a substation that would be operated by WAPA.
