October 30, 2026The U.S. Energy Association and the National Laboratory Gasification Consortium (NLGC) will host an update on research and development advancing gasification technologies and alternative feedstock utilization. The free webinar, A 2026 Update on the National Laboratory Gasification Consortium, will take place on November 2, 2026, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm ET.
Led by the National Energy Technology Laboratory and supported by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Hydrocarbons and Geothermal Energy Office, the webinar will provide an overview of the NLGC, present accomplishments through its first year of operation, and highlight planned work to support the needs of the gasification community in its four key topic areas:
- Feedstock Supply-Chain Modeling & Analysis
- Upstream Feedstock Quality and Preprocessing
- Feedstock Variability Sensing for Gasifier Control
- Developing a Co-gasification Kinetic Database and Machine Learning Tool
NLGC’s goal is to facilitate the use of a broader spectrum of alternative and blended feedstocks to produce chemicals, fuels or hydrogen and ensure fuel resiliency in gasification systems. For more information, contact NLGC Industry Engagement Lead Jim Parks at parksjeii@NLGC.gov.
