DOE found that Kichler ceiling fans models [310017, 310193, 330010, and 330025] failed to comply with energy conservation standards.
January 17, 2025DOE ordered Kichler Lighting, LLC (“Kichler”) to pay a $3,000,000 civil penalty after Kichler had manufactured and distributed in commerce in the U.S. multiple units of the noncompliant Kichler ceiling fans models [310017, 310193, 330010, and 330025]. The Order adopted a Settlement Agreement, which reflected settlement terms between DOE and Kichler.
On September 9, 2024, DOE issued a Notice of Noncompliance Determination to Kichler finding that the Kichler ceiling fans basic models 310017, 310193, 330010, and 330025 do not comply with applicable energy conservation standards based on Manufacturer’s own testing. Kichler provided DOE records showing the number of units Kichler distributed. Federal law subjects manufacturers and private labelers to civil penalties if those parties distribute in the U.S. products that do not meet applicable energy conservation standards.
