The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing to provide federal funding to the Pacific Ocean Energy Trust (POET) to administer the Testing and Access for Marine Energy Research (TEAMER) program. 

Considering the dynamic nature of TEAMER, however, POET conducts periodic reviews of facilities that request to join the TEAMER facility network. Any facility that requests to join the network or modify their existing support capabilities is subject to additional NEPA review in addition to a separate review conducted by POET and the TB. For this review, the facilities identified by POET are: 

  1. Coastal Studies Institute (CSI) Wave Tank, Wanchese, North Carolina. The CSI wave tank would serve as a research and educational facility. Activities would consist of wave technology and marine energy research.
  2. yet2, Waltham, Massachusetts. yet2 would assist with commercialization of new technology. Activities would be exclusively intellectual and analytical in nature.
  3. Factor Growth, LLC, Petaluma, California. Factor Growth would assist with commercialization and growth. Activities would be exclusively intellectual and analytical in nature.
