Access to Deploy Dialogues is free by invitation only and attendees must be registered for RE+ in order to attend. Space is limited and attendees may not be permitted access if they did not receive an invitation directly via email. Invitations are nontransferable.
The Department of Energy’s Pathways to Commercial Liftoff reports provide public and private sector capital allocators with a perspective as to how and when various technologies could reach full-scale commercial adoption. To inform these reports, DOE periodically hosts Deploy Dialogues, a series of professionally facilitated workshops that provide space for industry leaders and investors to discuss challenges and identify solutions in key areas related to the reports. Dialogues are held under Chatham House rule.
In this session, participants will identify high-impact energy solutions to address rising electricity demand and discuss what is needed to accelerate deployments that address near-term (<3-5 years) electricity demands, particularly from large data center loads. The Dialogue will build on recent DOE resources about the portfolio of energy solutions for rising electricity demand, including the Pathways to Commercial Liftoff Topic Brief: How Clean Energy is the Solution to Rising Electricity Demand that outlines how demand growth can help unlock hundreds of gigawatts of system capacity through full commercialization of multiple clean energy technologies and advanced grid solutions. The discussion aims to surface potential technical solutions as well as how DOE and other public and private stakeholders can best support industry in quickly implementing these short-term solutions while keeping the grid on track towards a clean energy future. The workshop will also foster connections and collaboration among key stakeholders while setting a foundation for continued conversations, including at the Department’s Deploy24 conference in December.
