SUBJECT: System for Award Management Continuous Registration Requirement

SUMMARY: Policy Flash 2024-04 provides notice of revisions to the DOE Guide to Financial Assistance. These revisions include updates to
- Chapter 4 “Administration”, subchapter 4.2 “Award Modifications”. Subchapter 4.2 “Award Modifications” has been updated and revised to 4.2 “Award Amendments” to be consistent with the guide terminology.
- In addition, subsections 4.2.5 “Continuation (Award Continuation Amendment)”, 4.2.6 “Supplemental (Supplemental Award Amendment)”, and 4.2.7 “Renewal Awards (Award Renewal Amendment)” has been updated and revised to be consistent with the guide terminology.
- A new subsection “4.2.8 Name Change/Novation” has been added to this guide.
- This update also includes editorial changes and changes to the Table of Contents to include the subsections that were omitted from the October 2021 guide as follows: 6.1 “Non-Compliance”, 6.2, “Remedies for Non-Compliance”, 6.3 “Suspension and Termination” and 6.4, “Disputes and Appeals”.
