NEW: InnovationXLab Quantum Virtual Series: Life Sciences
August 26, 2020 @ 3:00 PM EDT

Over the past two years, Quantum Information Science, or QIS, has evolved into one of the most-discussed and debated science topics, complete with frequent new breakthroughs from industry, academia, and national laboratories. Qubits, Quantum Supremacy, and Quantum Internet soon could become household terms.
Now, as quantum technologies mature, interest has turned toward potential application areas where QIS could have a major impact. Life sciences represents one standout area.
Join us for a special online panel, organized by OTT and Brookhaven National Laboratory, where leading researchers and industrial visionaries will discuss how quantum technology is set to transform life sciences in the coming decades. DOE Chief Commercialization Officer and OTT Director Conner Prochaska will provide introductory remarks.

DOE and the Federal Laboratory Consortium: What’s In It For You?
August 20, 2020 @ 1:00 PM EDT

The Office of Technology Transitions invites you to join the live session of the eighth installment in its landmark summer series, Funding and Partnering Opportunities with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), in collaboration with The Urban Tech Hub @ Company and the New York City Economic Development Corporation. With this series, we have built an impressive library of resources for innovators who may benefit from connecting and partnering with DOE experts and facilities. You (or your friends!) can view past episodes and register for upcoming events here.
This episode, DOE and the Federal Laboratory Consortium: What’s In It For You? will introduce the Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer (FLC). The FLC is the formally chartered, nationwide network of over 300 federal laboratories, agencies, and research centers that fosters commercialization best practice strategies and opportunities for accelerating federal technologies from out of the lab and into the marketplace.
Learn how partners outside the federal labs, agencies, and research centers can engage with the FLC for collaborative research, licensing, and entrepreneurship opportunities. The new industries, businesses, and jobs that can emerge when a new technology is brought to market are just a few of the successes that take effect via the technology transfer connections made through the FLC. Learn more about the FLC here.
Featured Speakers:
Laurie Bagley
Head of Technology Transfer, Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory
David Lee
Technology Transfer Associate, US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Armaments Center
David Pronchick
Assistant Department Head, Contracting Services Department, MIT Lincoln Laboratory
