The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has prepared an environmental assessment (EA) (DOE/EA-0400) for the proposed construction and operation of the Consolidated Incineration Facility (CIF) at the Savannah River Site (SRS), Aiken, South Carolina. Based on the analysis presented in the EA, DOE issued a proposed finding of no significant impact (FONSI) on June 24, 1992.
