DOE announced its intent to prepare a supplemental environmental impact statement (SEIS) for disposal of immobilized low-activity wastes from Hanford tank waste processing and sought public comment on the scope of the SEIS. This would be an SEIS to the Tank Waste Remediation System, Hanford Site, Richland, Washington, Final Environmental Impact Statement (DOE/EIS-0189, August 1996). This SEIS was cancelled.
