The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) (Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, Entiat Ranger District) prepared an EA that assesses the potential environmental impacts of proposed stream restoration projects on USFS lands along the Entiat River from river mile (RM) 25.5 to 27.5 (Upper Stillwaters Reach) and RM 20.5 to 20.7 (Stormy A Reach). The projects were designed to enhance in stream habitat for fish species, especially salmon, steelhead and bull trout listed under the Endangered Species Act. After issuing the Final EA, USFS issued a FONSI and decided to implement the Upper Stillwaters portion of the proposed action and not implement the Stormy A portion. DOE's Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), a cooperating agency, adopted the Final EA and issued a FONSI for funding the Upper Stillwaters portion of the proposed action.
