Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant for Disposition of Waste and Materials

DOE prepared a Final Environmental Assessment (Final EA) that evaluates the potential impacts on human health and the environment from the transport and disposition of waste and excess materials from deactivation activities at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant. Based on the Final EA, DOE has determined the proposed action to transport certain low level and mixed low level waste, and nonradioactive hazardous waste, from the Paducah Site for disposition at licensed and permitted treatment and/or disposal facilities is not expected to have a significant impact under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and an Environmental Impact Statement is not required.
