British Petroleum (BP) Solar Array Project at Brookhaven National Laboratory; Upton, New York

DOE issued a finding of no significant impact for a proposal to construct and operate the BP Solar Array Project at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

  • This Environmental Assessment (EA) presents an analysis of the potential environmental consequences of the United States (U.S.) Department of Energy (DOE) providing access, through an easement, to BP Solar for the construction of a proposed 37 megawatt (MW) photovoltaic facility and a smaller 1-2 MW, Laboratory dedicated array at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) and compares the potential impacts to the No Action Alternative. The Department of Energy has determined that the proposed action is not a major federal action that would significantly affect the quality of the human environment within the meaning of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969.
