Freeport Liquefied Natural Gas Export Project and Bog/Truck Project

Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued a final EA that evaluates the potential environmental impacts of a proposal to construct and operate a boil-off gas (BOG) liquefaction system and a LNG truck delivery system at an existing import terminal at Freeport, Texas. DOE is a cooperating agency in preparing the SEIS.

DOE, Office of Fossil Energy, has an obligation under Section 3 of the Natural Gas Act to authorize the import and export of natural gas, including LNG, unless it finds that the import or export is not consistent with the public interest.
