The Department of Energy has prepared an environmental assessment for the proposed construction and operation of a new Environmental Monitoring Laboratory (EML) at the Savannah River Site near Aiken, South Carolina. To support the EML, a Health Protection Complex Wastewater Neutralization Facility would also be constructed and operated.
